Contraindications

Unfortunately, as Pohaku Wela Lomi can challenge the body, it is not possible to have the treatment if you have any of the following:

High Blood Pressure

Heart Problems

Nerve Damage or any loss of sensation

Skin conditions which worsen with moisture or heat

Any conditions which affect the auto-immune system, e.g. Glandular Fever, Chronic Fatigue, AIDS and acute phases of Cancer.

Epilepsy

Pregnancy

Prescription Medicines – if you are on medication, please check with your GP as certain drugs do not respond well to these kind of intense temperature fluctuations, e.g. Warferin.
