Converted from an old curtain shop into the elegant two-floor haven it is today, The Mana Tree is becoming well-known as a centre of excellence for alternative and complementary health – somewhere to access a wide range of therapies under one roof, while feeling pampered, supported and cared for.

The clinic offers a variety of holistic treatments including Aromatherapy Massage, Natural Facials, Indian Head Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Reflexology, Hopi Ear Candling, Reiki, Chakra Balancing, Pohaku Wela Lomi (a beautiful Hawaiian hot stone massage treatment), Medical Herbalism, Iridology, Allergy/Vega Testing, Bowen Technique, Acupuncture and Colonic Hydrotherapy.

Whether you are battling a long-term health problem, are stressed out at work, in need of relaxation or just want to feel beautiful on your wedding day, The Mana Tree has the answer. Clients come to be treated for all sorts of conditions, from back pain or menopausal difficulties to depression or asthma.

The peaceful clinic is situated upstairs – the three treatment rooms are cosy, softly lit and deliciously scented with essential oils. There is also an attractive new treatment room downstairs with disabled access and en suite shower room. Clients travel to our centre from all over Yorkshire and from even further afield for less widely available therapies, such as Pohaku Wela Lomi, Vega Testing and the Bowen Technique.

Downstairs is the delightful and highly popular shop. Among the sumptuous array of pure essential oils, natural skin care products, herbal tinctures and flower essences is the Mana Tree’s own range of exclusive face and body oils and creams. All are handmade on the premises to the therapists’ special recipes with tempting blend names such as Sunshine on a Rainy Day and Snuggly Blanket.

The Shop also sells an extensive and wonderful range of giftware. Many of the items are from small designers and crafts people. A large number are also fair trade products, showing that these days ethically traded also means gorgeous and stylish.

Gift Vouchers are available for both the clinic and the shop – a great idea for an unusual and luxurious present. Individually-tailored gift sets, exquisitely packaged with soft tissue and rose petals are also available upon request.

The Mana Tree School of Natural Health also offers a wide range of courses and workshops for both professional therapists and those interested in their personal health and development.
